The Central Library was established in 2002 as a central agency for meeting the information requirements of the academic community of the institute and for collection, organization and dissemination of information. Since then, it has been playing a pivotal role in teaching and learning programmes.


It serves as a model of an evolving and dynamic facility in technical learning since its inception. Being an established knowledge hub it is conveniently accessible by those associated with the institute, has a major contribution in making Future Institute of Engineering and Management a top ranked academic and research driven institution. The Library’s collection comprises hybrid resources (Physical and Electronic) in the field of science, technology and management. The central library has automated all its daily activities through library software called “LIBSYS”. Users are provided with air-conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled reading room with 100 seating.


The library has a collection of over 65,000+ volumes of books and other learning resources in the field of science, technology, humanities and management. The library’s rich collection contains 60,000+ books, 30 journals, 25 magazines and 09 newspapers, full text online database like IEEE,  J-GATE, Springer comprising of more than 500+ journals, E-Books, NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) video lectures and membership of British Council Library, Kolkata. Library also accommodates 05 (five) computers to access E-Journals, E-books, E-Question Papers(Old), E-Annual Reports and E-Case Studies.



The Central Library fosters intellectual growth and advances the mission of Future Institute of Engineering and Management and affiliated communities by supporting excellence and innovation in education and research, managing and delivering information.



In future, Library makes it certain that its collections remain forward-looking and diverse. Through promotion, the Library makes its users aware of the available resources and through innovation, it makes access to these resources easier. To serve potential users, the Library conserves information across all formats and ensures effectual storage and dissemination.
